Alana began playing instruments at the young age of 8 as she was enrolled in piano & violin lessons. At 12 years old, Alana found amusement & delight in playing drums. By the age of 18 Alana took her music career seriously as she attended a academy school of music & was taught to write songs by many top name industry professionals. Alana has well over 1,000 songs & has recorded 7 albums.Alana received honorable mentions in the international contest "song of the year" in 2005, her music has appeared in select theaters around the world & has exclusive contract deals with renowned placement companies. Alana has opened for Dan from The Arkells, has been asked to sign to 3 different record labels, she has consulted with Don Grierson (who found the Beatles) and performed for humanitarian projects in South Africa, Guatemala & Mexico.Alana's 1st album "GO" featured the singles "Something Divine" "Relationship Bound" and "Love-A-Star." This album is in the genre of singer songwriter with a twist of rock & folk. This album launched her into a successful California tour. Her 2nd album "Some Degree" is indie rock with a streak of country & was signed to her 1st placement deal. Alana's 3rd album "BOOM" was recorded with a producer who has worked with B.B King, Sarah Harmer & Broken Social Scene. Alana's album "BOOM" is fun, edgy & sincere, in the genre of Adult Alternative & Singer Songwriter. Not only is it signed with a placement company but that company is one of the largest publishing companies in the world. The music video "Expressing a Feeling" was viewed by some of the most successful record labels in Canada & the U.S.A.Alana's 4th album "The Way I See You" is in the genre of indie rock, pop rock. The album "The Way I See You" was compared to The Strokes, Metric & The White Stripes. This album was mixed & mastered by a engineer who has worked with The Strokes, Drake & Led Zeppelin to name a few. Alana's album received wonderful reviews from music critics & was spotted on MTV. As a songwriter she sent this album to other artists for consideration to perform. Alana's 5th album "With You" has had much radio play & has had great reviews. The engineer for the "With You" album was The Tragically Hip's in house producer. Alana's 6th album "Someone" is in the genre of Adult Alternative, indie rock & Singer Songwriter.
